The conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine are focal points today in the larger conflict between the Unipolar World and the Multipolar World. The present status of these two points of fire, compared to the initial state of each of them, shows clearly that the Unipolar World is defeated. The causes of the defeat are not those two conflicts, as they are merely symptoms of a greater picture transformation.
Ther result of the Bretton Woods conference in 1944 established the dominance of the USA over the part of the world not under the umbrella of the USSR. The international organisations then created had the clear aim of make the US the center of he capitalist world. That picture is still real, albeit under considerable stress caused by the ascension of new highly industrialised countries capable of putting the US domination in doubt.
Empires start rotting in their peripheries, as the Roman Empire fall demonstrated. The atlanticist Empire, commanded by the US, started rotting in Korea first, then in Vietnam. The demise of the USSR does not seem to make any essential difference. Russia and China became targets of the Empire because they negated the supremacy of the USA.
The west's fear of China and Russia has two components. The first and the most common is the refusal of those two countries to make their natural resources easy prey for the west, as Africa had done before. The second component is economic, as taken in a global scope. Both Russia and China created their own industry, including the military, in an independent way. The economic influence of those two powers denied access to many markets by the west.
A progressive destruction of the US dollar as a reserve currency (Bretton Woods) is actively promoted by Russia and China, with demonstrable partial success so far.
