Donald Trump is elected the next president of the USA. What now? Big question. To begin with, what are the differences between Trump's and the Biden's troops? An important observer recently declared that Trump and Biden are the two cheeks of the same bottom. Is that true? It takes investigation.
Biden and his troops come from a long career in the Democrats. Trump comes from a long career in the private sector. There are differences between them, but what differences exactly?
Biden evolved slowly inside the machine of the Democratic Party, and came to the top when he was too old. That is not a sign of good leadership.
Trump evolved inside the market, where sharks are normally more voracious than in the Democratic Party. It remains to be seen how that makes Trump different from Biden.
At first glance, it looks like Biden is slow, and Trump is fast. In what sense? Trump tends to see competition between geopolitical powers in the same light he sees conflict between private concerns in the US. Biden tends to see geopolitics inseparable from future developments in the world.
However, the last years of Biden seem to have been rigidly contained by pressures out of his control. That can be seen in his attitude in Ukraine and in Israel.
Will those pressures be out of control for Trump too? To know that we need to examine the nature of those pressures.
First, what does Ukraine means to the US? It must mean something after the billions of dollars dumped in Ukraine's ruin. That discussion is long, and so, boring. Ukraine was seen at one time as a force capable of dismantling Russia and open the road to the dismantling of China. That was, of course, stupid. Ukraine gave up its nukes long ago, while Russia kept theirs. That is enough to settle the discussion, whatever the arguments can be.
In another side of the world, he US got involved in a colonial insertion in the arab world. Palestine should be a ghost according to Israeli ideologues. But it is not. The resistant movements in Palestine counts with much help from muslim countries. Among them Iran is paramount.
The action of the IDF in Gaza is seen by the muslim world as an open declaration of war. And Iran is the most prepared Israel's enemy to take issue. Action by Iran demonstrates the frailty of the colonial character of Israel's settlements in stolen lands.
And now it is time to ask why the US is dumping money into a human meat machine mincer in Gaza. The whole world is astonished by this. And the pariah state label attached to Israel threatens to stick to the US themselves!!!!!
There is no more doubt that Israel's ideology is racist and genocide. Trying to argue against that is ridiculous. Is the US genocidal too? That question is not mere hearsay in the muslim world. It is very serious. And the State Dept must do a total review of its posture. Otherwise, the US will suffer the same stigma Israel suffers.
So, what can Trump do about that? Some people say he will simply dump Israel. But there are deep interests in the US demanding protection for Israel whatever the cost.
What will Trump do about this? There are only two options open. One is sticking to Israel and sharing her genocidal reputation, and the other is to force Israel to accept a two-state solution.
The cards are on the table.
After Trump's victory, the Cabinet nominations became the focus of attentions. And those nominations show little space for a change in the US external policies. The Congress is firmly held in the claws of the AIPAC lobby, and Trump knows that..
In the great picture, what we see is a desire of Trump to do things forbidden by the deep state. Kennedy paid the price for challenging the deep state with his life. So, where is the line limiting Trump's desires? There is a line, certainly, and Trump is smart enough to know that.
Judging by Trump's termination of the Afghan adventure in his previous mandate, we can imagine his desire to dump both Israel and Ukraine as unprofitable enterprises. That is the mind of a market man, exactly what Trump is. But the opposition is formidable now. What we call the deep state is a rock-hard reality, and these people have their own views about Israel and Ukraine.
The Israel and Ukraine enterprises are, of course, doomed. And Trump's market mind is annoyed by that. He does not want to manage a bankrupted mass failure. Those are the main problems Trump is obliged to face. But of course he has other less damaging enterprises to manage in his new administration. The main one is his his intention to deport 11 million alien illegals. It is very doubtful that Trump and his team have realistically appraised this subject.
Deporting 11 million people is a logistic nightmare, and if Trump does not calculate that, his reputation as a cool operator will be at risk. Where will those people go? How? What are the humanitarian consequences?
It is not difficult to see in this promised policy an enormous coup against the electorate. Nothing unexpected here, of course. But its unfolding deserves curiosity from everybody in the world.
